The owner of the Chinese restaurant is cheating you.

He is not paying your Unemployment premiums, meaning you are not eligible for unemployment if he lays you off.

He is not paying Worker's Safety (WSIB) insurance, meaning if you are injured on the job you are out in the street paying your own medical bills.
